It is derived from the description of a full course dinner, in which courses progress from soup to a dessert of nuts. Our Friendship Soup jar includes a 1 Lb bag of Lightly Salted in-shell pistachios in our classic green burlap bag. Soup ingredients are hand filled. Ingredients: Black beans, kidney beans, green split beans, pinto beans, great northern beans, small red beans, yellow split peas, black eyed peas, lentils, white beans, bay leaves, beef bouillon power, dehydrated onion flakes. Cooking Instructions: Makes 16 Servings. 1–14 oz. can chopped tomatoes in juice. Set aside boullion, bay leaves and dried onion in bag. Rinse and soak beans in a large pot. Add 8 cups of hot water and bring beans to a rapid boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat, cover and let stand for 1 hour. Drain water and rinse beans. Place beans in a large pot and add 7 cups water, tomatoes w/juice and contents of bag. Simmer till beans are tender– about 2 hours. Season with salt and pepper.
